No 'eggscuses': Egg Sales Prohibited on Halloween
Shoppers in Bolivar need to remember to plan ahead if their grocery lists include eggs. A city ordinance prohibits local stores from selling or giving away eggs from 3 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday.
The ordinance also makes it unlawful for anyone to possess eggs except as a food item or eggs that are being held for resale. Any eggs found in a motor vehicle are assumed to be possessed by all occupants.
Selling or possession of eggs is a misdemeanor and can result in a fine of up to $300 and 15 days in jail.
Another part of the ordinance carries a stiffer penalty. Anyone who throws, hurls, drops or smashes eggs at a person, motor vehicle or structure or aids another person in such an act may be found guilty of a class A misdemeanor, which carries a jail sentence not to exceed one year and a fine of up to $1,000.
#1- This is just plain funny!
#2- If kids plan on doing any egging, they are going to buy the eggs before the restriction.
and #3- I would LOVE to go to jail because I was in "possession" of eggs in my car!!

I've heard this before somewhere. And some kids aren't planners, a lot of delinquincy can be considered last minute, I know because of experience. Can you imagine marking 'yes' on every application for a misdeamenor for the rest of your life because of eggs? and then explaining it to every future employer? yes, true, this is funny.
Jenna, do you think Dave would bail you right out, or let you sit there overnight to think about what you have done young lady.
