27! AND, it's a GIRL!!!

My 27th birthday was amazing!  It began with Dave arranging for me to go with our friends Katie K, Katie L, and Rachel, shopping.  I have never really gone shopping with a bunch of girls before so I was kinda nervous about it.  When I go shopping for clothes for me, I usually go by myself...or with Dave.  But I had a BLAST!  They picked out my clothes, I tried them on, and then bought them.  I have never felt cute in my clothes but I most definitely feel cute in these clothes!  AND, since I'm pregnant....that is saying a lot!  It was SO fun!

We then met up with Dave, the kids, Jared (Katie L's hubby) and Mike (Katie K's bf) at Chicago pizza.  The pizza was SO good!  I have craved pizza through out my entire pregnancy and this pizza hit the spot.  Once again, I had a blast!!

The night wasn't over yet!  We then headed to Orange Leaf--which was packed--so we headed to Andy's for some frozen custard...always a fav!  We sat outside, froze, laughed, and ate ice cream.  I couldn't have asked for a more perfect night!  AND....it wasn't even my birthday yet!

The next afternoon my best friend Kerri, took me out for a pedicure!  I have only had one before (gift card from Kerri the year before) but it was by myself.  MAN!  Have I been missing out!  Going out with a friend to get a pedicure is the BEST!  I wish I hadn't gone 27 yrs without ever doing it!  She then took me out to Smith's for dessert!  Once again, the perfect afternoon with the perfect friend and the cutest toes I have ever had!  AND....it still wasn't my birthday yet!

Monday finally came (my birthday) and I couldn't have been more excited....not because it was my birthday but because we had my ultrasound to find out what we were having!  Kerri watched the kids all day while Dave and I went to Springfield.

I love ultrasounds and I love seeing the baby move and to hear the heartbeat!  At the very end our tech told us the exciting news that we were having a GIRL!  I couldn't really believe it.  I called my mom as soon as I could and almost started crying because I was so happy, excited, and shocked.  I couldn't have had a better birthday present!

After we made our phone calls and texts of our exiting news, we went looking for an outfit for our new little girl and then enjoyed a FULL/HUGE lunch at Zio's!  It was such a great day!

Thank you to all that made me feel so special and loved on my birthday!  I am very blessed with wonderful family and friends!
