We were lucky enough to experience the biggest snow storm to come through Boliver, MO. Dave even got 2 days off of school! Other schools were out for 2 weeks! (which is a bit ridiculous if you ask me) Probably the most memorable part of the storm was the shoveling of the snow. There are no snow blowers here! So, we had to shovel all that snow with shovels.....AND 11 other driveways! Yep, together we did 11 driveways! Dave did most of them and is still is having back problems from it.
We also went driving the first night of the storm...we can't stand to stay in the house for a full day! We saw 6 semi slide-offs and several other cars on the side of the road between our house and the on ramp into town....which is probably a 1/2 mile or so. Most of them were there for days!
Kaylee's School was on the of the only schools that didn't close for 2 weeks. She was the only one in class for several days but she loved it and the teachers loved because they were able to see a different side of her....the side we see :-) She kept them going and didn't hold back like she usually does in class.
Snow is great but I think I could live somewhere where it never snows!
