We told our families for Christmas. They were all excited for us! My mom is trying to figure out how to get me home to have the baby in Utah. I'm not sure that is going to be able to happen....
This pregnancy has been a lot different than my other 2. I have been really sick this time around. I wasn't ever very sick with Kaylee (except for preeclamisa), I was sick with Cole, but nothing like this. I hope each pregnancy isn't going to be worse than the one before! I was so sick the week before Thanksgiving that I don't think I left my bed or the couch. I hadn't seen the Dr. yet but luckily they didn't care that I hadn't seen him yet. I called and they wrote me a prescription for Zofran right then. It saved me! Thank goodness too because my inlaws were coming in for Thanksgiving and I couldn't just lay in bed the entire time! The Zofran has helped a lot. I still don't feel great but at least it keeps me from throwing up all day! I don't know what people did without it!
I had my first Dr. appointment the day before Thanksgiving. I decided to see a Dr in Springfield instead of one here in Bolivar. I really like him. He isn't the one I wanted to start off with but I couldn't get into the one recommended to me....but now I'm kinda glad because I like this one so much. I was able to have my first ultrasound at my first appointment. It was such a relief to hear the heartbeat at 7 weeks because I was so worried about miscarrying again. There is nothing sweeter than that little HB!
While the Dr was doing the ultrasound, he asked me if I had twins in my family. "WHAT!?" "No Way!" and then the Dr laughed and said, "Sorry, I haven't done that for awhile. There is only one in there." ha...funny! (except for I had been having dreams that I was having twins!)
I had to wait until I got back from Utah to have my next appointment...which was way too long for me! Once again I really wanted to hear the heartbeat. I was so nervous but he found it and everything was great!
He then sent me over to get an ultrasound to look for a bunch of disorders and diseases. It was so fun to see the baby! The ultrasound was around 30 minutes long and I just sat back and enjoyed seeing my baby move all over the place. I LOVED it! The tech was looking at everything on the baby and me to make sure everything looked alright....she even measured the thickness of the skin on the back of the baby's neck to check for downs. I was also tested for Cystic Fibrosis- which came out negative. Huge relief...everything else was negative as well. So far, we have a very healthy and normal baby! We are so grateful!
I had my 3rd ultrasound the other day (17 weeks) at a pregnancy center here in town. We had a heartbeat...YAY. I had been having strong pains in my side after my classes so I was worried....again! Our little baby was doing flips and moving like crazy while she was trying to take measurements. Then, when she was ready to take pictures, the baby decided to bury its head in my bladder and would not move it for a profile shot. It was pretty funny. We also think we saw that we are having a GIRL! We did get a clear shot but the tech didn't want to call it....we didn't see any boy parts though. I'm trying not to get too excited just in case some boy parts appear at my 20 week ultrasound in a few weeks. My mom told me not to get my hopes up but I think she was pretty excited too! She said I would HAVE to come home to have the baby so that her and Anna could play with a baby girl....we don't have very many of those in our family. :-)
I have never taken pregnancy pictures before and I'm still not sure how I feel about it but oh well. I'm sure my kids will appreciate it....I hope anyway. Here I am at 16 weeks!

so you had preclampsia with your first one? Did you have it with your second one?
You look SO cute Jenna! I'm sorry to hear you have been so sick! Does the prescription make you really tired? The one I took with Caleb wiped me out, I took it at work one day and could hardly stay awake while I was standing up! Anyway, feel better soon!
Congrats, thats way exciting!
Congrats! Sorry about being so sick, that's no fun. You are a super cute pregnant lady.
Congrates on #3! Having 3 (at least for me so far) isn't to bad like I feared! Glad everything is going good for you this time around. For me once I passed that dreadful week I miscarried, the pregnancy was a breeze!
Congrats! I have been horrible at being a blogging friend! You look awesome! And your glowing!! I didn't know you miscarried :( I'm sorry! I am so happy that everything is good now and the babe is healthy! And also that your having a little girl how fun! Hope you start feeling better soon!
I am so excited for you guys! And you look fantastic. But really, being sick is so hard. And with kids already makes it even harder! I felt like I was so ornery and tired the first two trimesters last time. Good luck. I hope it eases up soon. And way to go for keeping it that long. I am impressed!
