I {HEART} Chicago!

Well, these pictures came up in the wrong order but I don't want to rearrange them...so, we'll do Chicago in the order the pictures are....

We went to Chicago over Labor Day weekend.  It was a very last minute decision but we were very grateful Ned & Amber didn't mind because we had a such great time!
Amber, Cole, and Calvin

We went to the Naperville parade.  I loved this suburb!  The houses were beautiful and pricey!  I'm talkin' 1.5 mil!  But they were sure fun to look at!

Ned, Calvin, Jenna, Cole, Amber, and Kaylee

Kaylee loves parades and always has to wave at everyone and everything that goes by.

Here is Cole on the train to another suburb.  I can't remember the name of this one, but once again, I LOVED it!  Both kids love trains so Ned and Amber dropped us off at the train station and then drove to the suburb to pick us up.

Dave & Kaylee

Cole started doing this hands on the hip thing.  He has grown out of that now :-)

Kaylee enjoying life!

We had time to walk around while we waited for Ned and Amber.  I love walking around little towns window shopping!  This was no exception!  It was great!

Yumm!!

Right before we left, Kaylee built this little shrine thing on the side of Ned and Amber's house.  She was pretty proud of it!.

Ned watched the kids for us while Amber & Calvin took us downtown.  I just couldn't get enough!

Now here is the sad part of this part of the trip :-(  I was downloading our pictures onto Facebook and our awesome computer shut down and I lost a lot of our pictures from our trip down town!  I was so sad and frustrated but I guess we'll just have to go back :-)

We lost our pictures from the top of the Sears tower.  We were able to go out into the glass box.  It was a weird, and scary feeling.  I didn't think it would mess with my senses like it did.  It was really cool though.  I guess there is just something about being able to see below you that messes with your head.  I really wish I had the pictures of us together in the glass box....I could do a photo recovery to get them but it would cost me $40....is it worth about 10 bucks a picture?  What do you think?

I at least have a picture of my feet in the glass box :-)

and a picture of other people in the glass box :-)

The Bean!  We were in a hurry trying to make the train back to Ned and the kids so we didn't get to stop...but I got a picture!

Some tower thing that had a changing face thing...I lost the picture with the face on it...

I also lost our pictures from Pizza Uno so here is one from the internet.   This was our first encounter with Chicago style pizza.  It was SO good!  I wanted more but I could hardly fit one piece in.

So So good and so worth all the calories!

I also had my first experience with a Chicago style hot dog.  Also delish!  I don't like tomatos or dill pickles but I wanted the full Chicago style hot dog experience.  I was not disappointed.  I even ate the whole thing with the tomatos and pickles!

Ned was so great with the kids!  They loved it!

Calvin too!

I did not want to leave Chicago!  I LOVED it so much.  I also realized that I'm not sure I want to live in Logan the rest of my life.  I really wouldn't mind living in a suburb of Chicago.  There is so much to do and so much to see!  I guess we'll see what happens!

Thanks so much Chicago Holt's!  We had the time of our lives!
