Tenley 2 Weeks
I usually don't love the newborn stage but this time around, I am LOVING it. I just can't get enough of Tenley! I just want to hold her all day! I'm thinking it may be because I had to wait longer than I wanted for her and had to go through some hard things to get her. I have really enjoyed staying home (which is not normal for me!) with her. She will probably end up getting pretty spoiled and want me to hold her ALL the time....and I probably will complain about it when it happens but for now, I'm going to hold her all day long!
Tenley loves to hold a finger to fall asleep. It is the funniest thing. She raises her hand and open and closes her little hand trying to find a finger. So cute!
Tenley had her 2 week appointment a little early. She had it when she was 11 days old. Here are her stats:
Weight: 7 lbs 0 oz 15%
Length: 19 in 10%
Head: 13.25 in 10%
While we were in the hospital I was asked if I wanted to give Tenley the Hep B...I didn't know I had a choice. I think with the others they just gave it to her or maybe Dave always signed off on it...which, I'm sure was the case. Anyway, the Pediatrician I had recommended that I not give it to her and to wait to give it to her. I was surprised but what did I know. She was telling me not to do it so I didn't. Well, Dr Calvert asked me at her 2 week appointment why I didn't have it done at the hospital so I told her. She said that wasn't right and that she should have gotten it ASAP at the hospital....well, how am I suppose to know....I'm not a DR :-) So, Tenley had to get it at her 2 week appointment, which I wasn't prepared for. I tried hard not to cry but I was already emotional that day and that just didn't help. But, we both made it through...haha.
The kids love the baby. Cole always asks to hold "the dawby" and Kaylee loved to feed her. We sure do enjoy our little Tenley Belle!
