I definitely love the color change, makes a huge difference. Red is my favorite. The color is a brighter red isn't it? If it were me, I'd leave it the way it is because I wouldn't want to re-tape, and repaint. But this is you were talking about, so if your not happy with it, I think a more flat/deeper red might do the trick.
P.S. I plan to update my blog sometime this week.
I think it is a nice color. The spots might be from the lens, try cleaning it. I get those lovely kid finger prints on the lens ALL the time!!!

It's definitely an autumn color. I think it will grow on you. I like it. Give it some time before changing it. The more compliments you get on it, the more you'll love it too.
I like it... but then again I like things that are different. I think it adds alot and the spots are a dirty lens. Just clean your lens and you should be set to go.

My boss once told me that those spots in pictures could be "orbes." Don't know if I spelled that right. She claims that they are spirits - yeah, I don't really know. My theory is that the flash just captured some dust at the right time.
I think I agree with Nanc about color.
I love the color! Big fan of paint!
