[28]

The thing about birthdays is that they happen every year, which means you have to get older every year!  I actually kinda dread my birthday and having to say I am one year older.  [28] folks!  WHOA!  What happened?!  I sometimes sit on the couch and look at my life and think, "I'm only 20 and I am a wife, a mom of 3 kids, and I live in MISSOURI"!  It doesn't even seem real at times.  I just feel like I am still 20!  It is a crazy and weird feeling that I've been told never goes away.  I guess I'll always feel like I am 20.  I remember my Great Grandma Poulsen saying, "I'm an 18 yr old girl trappend in a 93 year old body".  Now I totally get it...well, not the extent that she did, but you get the idea!  Anyway, onto my birthday....

It is nice, that on your birthday, so many people Facebook, call, text, and stop by.  I always feel overwhelmed by how thoughtful people are and how many people do care about me....which is definently the best part about birthdays!

Thanks to a great friend, Kerri Goodman, we were able to go on a date.  We went out to eat at this place called Jasmine.  We don't really have a lot of choices here in BOMO, but it was good enough and nice to have an hour without kids!  It was the first time I've left Tenley with someone so I had a little separation anxiety, but Tenley was just fine and in good hands!  We then had cheesecake with the Goodmans'.  It was a good night!

I guess I should get ready for my big date :-)

 

I was pretty spoiled, as you can see.  I got flowers, a card, and pink sparkly nail polish (wonder who that is REALLY for??) from Kaylee, ear phones and a water bottle from Cole, a bag for work, a light set for photography, and cake pans, from Dave, money from G&G Holt, G&G Gene, and my parents, spray tan and nails done with Rebecca Duncan, cookies from Rachelle Bolton and Heather Branvold, yoga pants, and nail polish from Kerri Goodman, a tablecloth, cupcake holder, and stuff to make cupcakes from the Wilkins, and tons for messages from friends on Facebook.  Thank you all for making turning [28] not so bad!  :-)  I hope you are all there in 2 years when I turn [30]!  YIKES!
