Sick Baby

On Valentine's Day, we went to girl one Taylor's basketball game.  Poor Tenley had had a fever all day but she seemed ok for the most part.  Just a little fussy.  Well, at the game, she got worse.  Weston held her and she fell asleep....which she doesn't do very often (fall asleep while being held).  When she woke up, she was pretty hot and lethargic so we decided to take her to the ER.

She had a fever of 103.6 when we checked into the hospital.  The culprit was an ear infection and an infection in the eye.  But the other problem was that she was dehydrated.  At first the Dr wanted to give her an IV but because she could take a bottle, the Dr wanted to try Pedialite first.  She was able to drink 3 oz and keep it down.  The Dr felt like that would be good enough to send her home.  Thanks goodness!

Since that night, Tenley's fever kept spiking every time the Tylenol would wear off.  It would get back up to 103+.  After 2 days of this and several calls to the Dr and not being able to get her in (long story) I just took her to the walk in clinic.  The Dr there said to give the medicine a little more time to work and work it did!  FINALLY!  She woke up Friday morning without a fever and she is on her way to being her happy, smiley, self!  (minus the diaper rash from the antibiotic!)
