Friday night our plan was to meet Ryan and Natalie up the canyon for smores. We couldn't find them so we had our own little family marshmallow roast. It was so much fun! Lately I have really enjoyed going on little family outings. I used to think it was just too much work to take 2 kids anywhere but it is more fun that work....most of the time. I also used to miss hanging out with friends without kids. I don't know what I was thinking! I love watching Kaylee experience new things - like nature, tasting new things - like smores, and seeing new things - like fire. I also really enjoy teaching her things like - fire is hot - and she understands. Cole just loves to look around. I sure wish I knew what what going on in that little head of his as he sees new things. I just love my little family so much! I am so blessed and grateful that Heavenly Father has trusted me with these precious kids. There is nothing in this world that can even compare to the love I have for them. I love you too Dave! :-)

We have taught Kaylee how to sign. This is her made up sign for marshmallow. It stems from Grandma Holt. Grandma Holt always gives her bunny shaped marshmallows and we have taught her that a bunny says...well, a bunny moves its nose and mouth up and down...thus, Kaylee's sign for a marshmallow. I just love it!

Kaylee was fascinated with Dad starting a fire.

Kaylee's 1st time roasting a marshmallow.

He has little dimples in those chubby cheeks! How cute!

Kaylee had a lot of fun seeing in the dark with a flashlight.

Kaylee ate so many marshmallows! She had them in her mouth and one in each hand.

Look at my baby!
