Baby Tag

I've been tagged twice with this tag so here it goes:

1- Where were you when you first found out you were pregnant?

I found out at Planned Parenthood with both Kaylee and Cole.

2- Who was with you?

Kaylee-I was alone Cole-Dave and Kaylee were there

3- How did you find out that you were pregnant?

I actually wasn't sure on either of them but I hated waiting everyday so I just went in after 4 weeks.

4- What was your first reaction to finding out you were pregnant?

Kaylee- I was completely shocked. I couldn't believe it. I was kinda numb and just plain shocked. Cole- I wasn't as shocked with Cole...I was just very excited and happy.

6- Who was the first person you told?

Kaylee- Dave. I had to go find him on campus to tell him. He said as soon as he saw me he knew. Cole- Dave and Kaylee. Dave, once again, knew as soon as I walked back out to the waiting room.

7-Did you plan to get pregnant?

Yes on both

8-Was everybody happy for you?

YES! Kaylee- We told everyone on Easter. We gave our parents books that were titled Grandma and Me & Grandpa and Me. My mom was so funny because she didn't get it at first. She thought I gave it to her because my grandma gave it to me when I was little. My dad finally had to say, "Mary-Ellen, don't you get it" and she screamed, "WHAT" it was so funny and we got it on tape which was even better! They were SO excited! Cole- The plan was to give my parents Father of the Bride 2 because my mom was pregnant too. We were going to do it on Christmas Eve. BUT, my mom was induced early (the 22nd) so I told her over the phone while she was in labor that we were both pregnant. (she was at McKay Hospital in Ogden) We told Dave's family that day too at the Christmas party. We had the ultrasound picture in an envelope that said see you in

June. They were all excited too. We were able to hold off telling people other than close family and friends until I was 6 months! It was kinda fun that way!

9- Did you go out and celebrate?

I actually don't remember. I probably went shopping for baby stuff.

10- Did you want to find out the sex?

OF COURSE! There is no way I could wait!

11- What was the sex?

A girl and then a boy--perfect!

12-Did anyone throw you a baby shower?

13- If yes, who?

14- Did you get any outfits at the baby shower that you just knew you weren't going to put on your baby?

Not at the shower but I did get quite a few outfits that I did not like at all.

15- How much weight did you gain?

Kaylee- A TON! I had toxemia and gained like 5 lbs of water a day! I think I gained around 50 but lost 35 in the hospital and 5 more the day I got home! (ya! I had that much water weight) Cole- I gained 30. I worked out the entire pregnancy and there was a HUGE difference in weight, labor, etc. So EXERCISE! It really does help!

16- Did you loose all of the weight that you gained?

I have now. I actually weigh 13 lbs less than when I got pregnant with Cole. I am more than half way to my goal weight. My goal is to get back to the weight I was when I was playing softball at SVU. I unfortunately gained quite a bit after I graduated and wasn't playing on a collegiate team anymore. :-(

17- Did you get a lot of stretch marks?

With Kaylee I got some but I didn't get any with Cole.

18- What did you crave the most?

PANCAKES

19- Did you crave anything crazy?

Sometimes I would crave certain foods that had to come from a certain place. Like bread sticks from Papa Johns

20- Who or what got on your nerves the most?

People touching my belly or people saying, "Whoa, you're big!" I got that a few times with Kaylee...not with Cole. Seriously people...don't say that to a pregnant women! Especially when they are retaining water EVERYWHERE!

21- Were you married at the time?

Yep

22- Did you have any complications during your pregnancy?

Kinda, I had toxemia with Kaylee and was induced 3 weeks early. Everything was great with Cole.

23- Where were you when you went into labor?

In the hospital with both. I was induced 3 weeks early with Kaylee and 1 week early with Cole.

24- Did your water break?

In the hospital with both

25- Who drove you to the hospital?

Dave

26- Did you go early or late?

Kaylee- 3 weeks early Cole- 1 week early

27- Who was in the room with you when you gave birth?

Just Dave

28- Was it video taped?

HECK NO

29- Did you have any drugs for the pain?

Sure did! Took a little longer with Kaylee because of all the water in my back.

30-Did you go Natural or have a c-section?
Natural

31- What was your first reaction after giving birth?

Kaylee- WOW! It was indescribable! Cole- That was so much easier than with Kaylee

I got teary eyed after both.

32- How big was the baby(s)?

Kaylee- 6.3 Cole 8.2

33- Did your Husband cry?

I don't think so. I don't think I ever looked at him after either of them. I was looking at my beautiful baby.

34- What did you name the baby(s)?

Kaylee Marie and Cole David

37- Did the baby(s) have any complications?

Thankfully nothing major! Kaylee had jaundice and had to be put under lights at home Cole had to be checked for jaundice every day and something weird with his head that I never really understood and he failed his hearing test the 1st time. Everything cleared up though.

38- How old is your baby today?

Kaylee will be 2 on the 21st and Cole is 5 months

39- When is the next one(s) coming?

We'll probably start trying after Cole is 2

40-If you could, would you do it all over again?

A MILLION times over!
