Primary Program DISASTER

For some strange reason my ward has a nursery program. First of all, they are all under 3 and can't really "do" parts. 2nd of all, since they can't really talk very well, a parent has to do it with them. 3rd of all, ...why? Anyway, overall it is a really cute thing BUT my child was far from cute! My parents came to watch the fiasco and as soon as it was time for Kaylee to go up on stage...she started crying for "mama" --grandma. I'm sure everyone thought she wanted me but she didn't. After she put on a nice little show in front everyone and after my mom decided she would go up and sit by her so she'd stop, she calmed down. She did alright once she was up there but she didn't participate at all. She wouldn't do any of the actions and Dave didn't give her a chance to say anything for her "part". It was embarrassing. The most common comment I got afterwards was, "Wow, Kaylee put on quite the show today". I just want to erase it from my memory. I am somewhat of a perfectionist and I had in my mind of my cute little Kaylee getting up there and doing the actions to the songs...which she DOES know how to do, and saying her cute little words that we practiced at home...anyway, it was a DISASTER on my Kaylee's part due to her little fit she had to throw for the whole ward to see. The other kids were SO cute....maybe we will be sick next time!
