To answer a few questions about my previous post on Kaylee & Bell's Palsy..........
What is Bell's Palsy? Click here
What caused it? Usually no one really knows what causes it BUT, the only thing that we, along with the ER DR, think it may have been from the H1N1 vaccine. We had her get the mist up the nose (which I regret now that I know more about it....it is a live virus, the shot is better, etc). It was the only thing that we could think of that had changed in the weeks prior to the onset of the Bell's Palsy. Kaylee was suppose to get her 2nd dose soon after the onset but the ER DR recommended to not give it to her. He said that he was still all for getting the kids vaccinated and that it was the right thing to do and he would still recommend for people to get their kids vaccinated.
Will she be more susceptible to it in the future? I have no idea and have wondered the same thing. So, if anyone knows....please let me know!

All I know is I am all for getting vaccinated but what Chris is learning has helped us understand more...If there is something off in there system you might not know and sometimes a vaccine can trigger it. I had a friends and when her little girl got her vaccines she was never the same since. It was not the vaccine that did it but maybe it just triggerd it. Chris and I have really studied all the vaccines and we are not going to give Porter all of them this time only the ones he really needs because what happens it that there system can just get overloaded and some of them are just not necessary. Like HEP B, its an STD..why does a newborn need it? They dont! Anyways just a thought, glad that Kaylee is doing better.
I haven't had my kids vaccinated yet, that's good to know, thanks for the info.
That is crazy! Glad to hear that she is doing better.
That is crazy and sad. Whatever happens, don't blame yourself for getting her vaccinated. It really could have been something else. Maybe even the Lords Will for her at that time who knows. Going along with Kerri's post though. Chiropractors have to study all sorts of things including all vaccines. We do all the shots but the flu shot and the H1N1 shot. I know the flu shot carries extra mercury that can potentially be harmful in a child. The H1N1 is still so new to me, I almost want to wait a few years to see what the reaction would be. That's about all I know about shots. I am so grateful for vaccinations though.
